Where I work, we have something called “Happy Friday”, where employees are allowed to leave the office by 3:30 pm one Friday a month to start their weekend. It’s part of our work-life balance initiative. And bosses are encouraged to let their staff members keep this date by not arranging meetings after 3:00 pm on Fridays. But sadly, many almost never get to do “Happy Friday” becos someone somewhere would always want to go the extra mile to complete some work before the weekend. Sigh….looks like we have the spirit but not the will power.

We sang at the Esplanade outdoor theatre 10 and 11 April 2009 to remind people that now was the best time to be honest about their jobs….and get retrenched!

My partner (pregged to about 5 months I think) caught us and told me on MOnday that her baby kicked for the first time as we sang….not sure if the baby was moved or trying to move away from us!

At least we do move people!
